General description of the collection: Grenada photograph collection contains photographs, mostly in color, of the United States (U.S.) Army's capture and occupation of Grenada in 1983. The units shown in the photos are the 29th Infantry Division, 82nd Airborne Division, and 75th Rangers. In addition to photos of activities in Grenada itself there are scenes at Hunter Army Air Field, Georgia, and Fort Lewis, Washington. Photos of troops returning to Fort Bragg and photos of a captured arms display at Andrews Air Force Base are also included. The vast majority of these photos are snapshot type pictures without the close-up human interest quality of the former Signal Corps photos.
